about

Hi.
This is my album, Knowbody, or: Ripping off Mike Patton, or: Taylor Likes Reverb. No matter what you call it, I hope you like it.

Josh sez: First thing: I gotta thank my laptop for holding down the fort and not shitting the bed before I could complete my parts of this project. Fuck. Not looking forward to that happening. I also have to mention my main man Hugh. Hugh Jaenas, is the type of guy that makes really shitty jokes that keep you going. I used a Jackson guitar, Squire bass, MXR OD, lepou hybrit and lecab plug-ins, free cab IRs, an outdated version of Cubase and my oldest son’s Ikea dinner table as a mobile computer desk as I worked on my couch downstairs while my wife and kids slept upstairs. Ikea dinner table is irreplaceable, I’d run back into a burning building to save that children’s furniture. You know that they say “you can spell SUCCESS with out ikea” - actually it’s preferable if you don’t, don’t listen to me, I’m drunk.

Kamaira sez: Big ol' thanks to T. for always being a source of stability, support, inspiration, and absurdity.

Check out Kate Devlin's band, Indigo Royals!

Taylor sez: Thanks to Josh for your hard work, wisdom, and expertise; Kamaira and Kate for their beautiful voices and ability to work with little guidance, Emily for putting up with all my shit and noise in the house, Kiefer for your consistent involvement and interest and for catalyzing the first demos, Mom and Dad for not thinking I'm weird, and to Chelsea McBride, the staff at the Vancouver Public Library, JJ Caithcart and Scrape Records, Che Aimee Dorval, Devin Townsend, Ula Gehret and Sony Music Germany, Mike Patton and Monica Seide-Evenson and Ipecac Recordings, Marcin Przyblyowicz and Maria Winiecka and CD Project Red, and to anyone who cares to listen.

Taylor uses, but is not endorsed by: Ableton, Audacity, Earthquaker Devices, Focusrite, Hercules, IK Multimedia, Mid-East Mfg., Mooer, Mugig, Randall, Samson, Shure, TC Helicon, a guitar of unknown origin.
