about

This is a cover of the song Orc, by Zu, an Italian experimental three-piece band, consisting of bass, sax, and drums (plus ambience). The song originally appears on their album Carboniferous, and features Mike Patton on vocals.
I recorded the bass and vocals, but everything else you hear is samples. This track was chosen as the... lead single? because it is the least like the others. Most of this album consists of piano and synths and very little vocals, and are, for the most part, moody to bright. This is by far the darkest song on the album, and dare I say, I'm actually kinda proud of the way it turned out and I like the mix as well.
Also, the album is called Soledad. So there's that.

Suzy Rawsome: Album art (though I did a little warp to make it more 'me'). She did some great work and really captured the essence the album; plus, maybe just because I've been playing Red Dead Redemption recently, I just really dug it.
